| WCTA RECEIVES USTA TX GRANT FOR WIMBERLEY TENNIS CENTER AT BLUE HOLE 12/2010 |

Fundraising and sponsorships are an integral part of the Blue Hole Tennis In The Park Project.
WCTA was the recipient of a USTA TX Section Public Facility Funding Grant. On December 14, 2010, WCTA president, Bob Kerrigan, presented the USTA check for $10,000 to Friends of Blue Hole (FOBH) Executive Director, Stephen Klepfer and FOBH Board Member, Steve Thurber. As part of the matching grant requirements, WCTA must contine to "help grow the game of tennis" in Wimberley and the hill country through our many adult and beginner programs, as well as our very active tennis membership. As part of the grant requirements, WCTA recently contributed a $10,000 donation to the Friends of Blue Hole. We also helped raise another $5,000 through various tennis fund raisers during 2010, which supported the Wimberley Tennis Center at Blue Hole. WCTA and the City of Wimberley recently submitted (April 2011) a
grant application to USTA National "Tennis in the Parks" grant.
To ensure WCTA continues to grow and support local community tennis needs and those of the hill country, we desperately need a new tennis facility. Now is the perfect opportunity to help the Friends of Blue Hole and WCTA raise the necessary funds to build the Wimberley Tennis Center at Blue Hole. It is ALWAYS the time to make a tax deductible contribution to the Friends of Blue Hole Tennis Project. Please be sure the funds are directed to the tennis center, by writing in "Tennis Facilities" on the "Memo" portion of your check.
